Surah 80th. 42 paragraph. Makkiyyah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Verses 1-16: The story of a blind friend who came to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam to recognize religion and warning to the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam because it turned away from him.

Surah abasa


عبس وتولى (1) أن جاءه الأعمى (2) وما يدريك لعله يزكى (3) أو يذكر فتنفعه الذكرى (4) أما من استغنى (5) فأنت له تصدى (6) وما عليك ألا يزكى (7) وأما من جاءك يسعى (8 ) وهو يخشى (9) فأنت عنه تلهى (10) كلا إنها تذكرة (11) فمن شاء ذكره (12) في صحف مكرمة (13) مرفوعة مطهرة (14) بأيدي سفرة (15) كرام بررة (16)

Translation of the letter 'Abasa Verse 1-16

1. [1] He (Muhammad) sour-faced and turned away,

2. because the blind man had come to him [2].

3. [3] And do thou (Muhammad) perhaps he wants to purify himself [4],

4. or her (want) to get instruction, which provide benefits to him [5]?

5. As for the people who feel themselves as self-sufficient [6],

6. then thou (Muhammad) gives attention to him.

7. Though no (blemish) to thee if he does not purify himself (faith).

8. And as for those who come to you in haste (for teaching),

9.'m her fear (Allah),

10. thou (Muhammad) even ignore it.

11. Nay, (so) [7]! Indeed, (the teachings of God) was a warning [8],

12. then whoever wills, surely he would notice [9],

13. [10] in the books that glorified (Allah) [11],

14. elevated [12] and purified [13],

15. The hand of the messengers (angels) [14],

16. glorious again devote [15].

Verses 17-23: Warning of God to men who do not know the nature of her, and how he came to disbelieve in their Lord when favors continued down her abundant.


قتل الإنسان ما أكفره (17) من أي شيء خلقه (18) من نطفة خلقه فقدره (19) ثم السبيل يسره (20) ثم أماته فأقبره (21) ثم إذا شاء أنشره (22) كلا لما يقض ما أمره (23

Translation of the letter 'Abasa Verse 17-23

17. Woe to humans [16]! How kufurnya him [17]!

18. From what He (God) created it?

19. From a drop of sperm, then He created specify [18].

20. Then the way He made it easy [19],

21. He then turned it off and buried [20],

22. then if He wills, He resurrected him [21].

23. Nay, so! He (the man) was not doing what He (God) commanded him.

Verses 24-32: Evidence Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala power of God in the universe.

فلينظر الإنسان إلى طعامه (24) أنا صببنا الماء صبا (25) ثم شققنا الأرض شقا (26) فأنبتنا فيها حبا (27) وعنبا وقضبا (28) وزيتونا ونخلا (29) وحدائق غلبا (30) وفاكهة وأبا (31) متاعا لكم ولأنعامكم (32

Translation of the letter 'Abasa Verse 24-32

24. [22] Now let man's attention to food,

25. It is we who have devoted abundant water (from the sky),

26. And We split the earth with the best,

27. and there we grow grains,

28. and wine and vegetables,

29. and olive and palm trees [23],

30. and gardens (which) shady,

31. and fruits [24] as well as the grass [25],

32. (All of it) for you and for your livestock animals [26].

Verses 33-42: The power of the resurrection day, the state of the believers and infidels on that day.

فإذا جاءت الصاخة (33) يوم يفر المرء من أخيه (34) وأمه وأبيه (35) وصاحبته وبنيه (36) لكل امرئ منهم يومئذ شأن يغنيه (37) وجوه يومئذ مسفرة (38) ضاحكة مستبشرة (39) ووجوه يومئذ عليها غبرة (40 ) ترهقها قترة (41) أولئك هم الكفرة الفجرة (42

Translation of the letter 'Abasa Verse 33-42

33. And when it comes deafening sound (second trumpet)

34. on that day shall a man flee from his brother,

35. and from mother and father,

36. and of his wife and children.

37. Every one of them on that day had a busy affair [27].

38. On that day faces beaming,

39. laughing and rejoicing,

40. and on that day there are (also) faces covered in dust (gloomy),

41. covered by darkness (overwritten humiliation and distress) [28].

42. They are the ones that ungodly heathen [29].

[1] Tirmidhi narrated with sanadnya who came to 'Aisha radi' anha he said, "Down verse 'Abasa wa tawalla respect to Ibn Umm Maktoum a blind man, he came to the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam, saying," O Messenger of Allah, guide me. "When it was near the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam there is a magnifying the polytheists, the Prophet sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam turned away from him and turn towards others (unbelievers) and said," Do you think what I say wrong ? [2] The blind man named Abdullah ibn Umm Maktoum. This book clearly requires to be believed and accepted, but the man does not want other than remain kufr. Therefore, in the next verse He says, "Woe to man! How kufurnya him! "

[16] That the disbelievers.

[17] To the favor of God, and how the rigors of his opposition to the truth as clearly, but who is he? He is just being created from something weakest; of the base fluid and God determines the phases of events and perfected.

[18] What is meant by specifying the phases is to determine the incidence (of sperm into a clot of blood and become a piece of meat ff.), Age, sustenance, and his fate.

[20] Allah wa Ta'aala Subhaanahu honor him by burying him and not make it just like any other being that his body was not buried.

[21] That is resurrected after death to give a reply. Allah wa Ta'aala Subhaanahu he who own set man with these arrangements, but humans do not carry out the commands of Allah and what is required of him, even always underestimate, as described in the next paragraph.

[22] Then Allah wa Ta'aala Subhaanahu directing people to pay attention and think about food, and how the food was up to him after going through many stages since his ease.

[25] To be eaten their livestock.

[26] God Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala create them and subdue you. Therefore, you should be grateful to Allah, confirming news delivered Him and are willing to sacrifice the mind and effort to carry out His commands.

[27] That is her safety. At that time, people were divided into two groups; group of happy and miserable groups. Group of happy faces beaming, while the group that miserable, their faces covered in dust and darkness.

[28] They have been despairing of all goodness and recognizable misery.

[29] That they who disbelieve in the favor of Allah, belie His verses and courageous work of His prohibitions.
